Selain mendapatkan banyak teman, pengetahuan pun semakin bertambah. Biasanya pada saat para anggota klub berkumpul, pembicaraan yang bergulir hampir dipastikan bertemakan seluk-beluk otomotif. Baik yang bersifat teknis, maupun nonteknis. </p></span><br /><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Arial;" ><p>Setidaknya itulah yang dirasakan oleh Enrico Alex, Humas Indonesia Kijang Club (IKC). ''Sejak bergabung dengan klub ini pada tahun 2003, banyak sisi positif yang saya petik. Relasi bertambah luas, pengetahuan otomotif pun semakin dalam,'' katanya kepada <i>Republika</i>.</p><p>Menurut mahasiswa berusia 21 tahun itu, pada IKC terdapat sejumlah kelebihan yang biasanya tidak didapat di klub otomotif lain. Misalnya, IKC sama sekali tidak membatasi tahun kendaraan maupun keadaan kendaraan yang didaftarkan. ''Anggota klub ini mulai dari pemilik mobil Toyota Kijang tahun 1984 hingga Kijang Innova terbaru. Kondisi mobil pun bermacan-macam. Dari yang masih standar hingga yang sudah dimodifikasi,'' ujarnya.</p><p>IKC, kata Rico -- panggilan akrab Enrico -- berdiri sejak 19 Juli 1998. Pada awal berdiri, klub otomotif itu beranggotakan sekitar 15 orang saja. Saat ini anggota IKC adalah tak kurang dari 43 orang. ''Sekitar beberapa tahun lalu anggota klub kami sempat berjumlah 100 orang. Namun, padatnya aktivitas masing-masing membuat satu per satu nonaktif. Lama-lama anggota kami terus berkurang hingga saat ini yang bertahan sekitar 43 orang,'' katanya.</p><p>Namun ia menegaskan, sampai saat ini klub otomotif itu masih aktif dan terus mengadakan kegiatan. ''Untuk bulan Mei 2006, kami mempunyai agenda untuk menggelar kegiatan bakti sosial. Rencananya para anggota akan mengumpulkan uang, mie instan, dan baju bekas untuk disumbangkan ke panti asuhan,'' ungkapnya.</p></span><br /><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Arial;" ><p>Kegiatan lain yang biasa dilakukan oleh IKC antara lain melakukan <i>touring</i>. Untuk menjalin ikatan persaudaraan yang erat antaranggota diperlukan komunikasi yang intensif. Hal itu sangat disadari IKC. Berdasarkan pengakuan Rico, klub otomotif itu memiliki pertemuan rutin yang dilakukan setiap pekan. ''Setiap Jumat dan Sabtu, kami bertemu di kantor sekretariat di Jl Pakubuwono, Jakarta. Sedangkan, Minggu sore kami biasa berkumpul di Senayan,'' ungkapnya.</p><p>Sedikit menoleh ke belakang, Rico menceritakan asal mula pendirian klub otomotif independen itu. ''Awalnya IKC merupakan sekumpulan anak muda yang memiliki hubungan pertemanan dan sering kumpul. Karena sama-sama memiliki mobil Kijang, pembicaraan pun seringkali terfokus pada seluk beluk kendaraan yang dimiliki itu. Claims range from improved handling and pressure stability to gas mileage and tire life. Is there really any advantage to having pure nitrogen in your tires, especially given the price per tire for this service?<span id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_ArticleBody" style="font-size:13;"> <p>The air that you normally put into your tires is 78 percent nitrogen already, with the rest being mostly oxygen (21 percent) and other various gases (that remaining 1 percent).</p> <p>Pure nitrogen is just that - 100 percent nitrogen gas with no other gases present. Many car dealers and other locations offer nitrogen fill ups, with more locations appearing every day. It's estimated by <a href="http://getnitrogen.org/" target="blank_">getnitrogen.org</a> that there are over 11,000 dealers in the United States as of October 8, 2008.</p> <p>Some people claim that they do get much improved handling with nitrogen in their tires, while others don't notice any difference. Much of this may come down to the road condition and the kind of vehicle driven, but it may also be a personal preference for tire pressure too. Regardless, driving your car with the tires at the manufacturer's recommended pressure will improve your gas mileage over time, and reduce tire wear, saving you money.</p> <p>One of the main advantages of having pure nitrogen in your tires instead of plain old air is the lack of water vapor present. Ordinary air can have a lot of moisture in it, and as the temperature changes, this water vapor can condense and reform. This can and does change your tire pressure, as it forces the air inside your tires to expand and contract. Over a long period this not only changes the pressure, it can cause wear and tear on your tires. That said, it's fairly minor, and the difference between pure nitrogen and air won't make a significant difference to your finances or driving efficiency, other than to cost you money for the nitrogen tire fill in the first place.</p> <p>The oxygen present in air causes oxidation inside your tires, responsible for rust and degradation of rubber. Pure nitrogen doesn't. Again, it's such a small amount of wear over a long period of time (on a part of your car that will need to be replaced after a certain length of time anyway) that it doesn't really make a big difference, especially if you're being charged for your nitrogen top-ups. Giving that small amounts of oil and water may get into your tires when you use standard air supplies provided at gas stations (professionals probably keep their equipment in better condition) it's unlikely your tires will see any real advantage from nitrogen over air.</p> <p><a href="http://blogs.consumerreports.org/cars/2007/10/tires-nitrogen-.html" target="_blank">Consumer Reports</a> ran a yearlong study on the subject, and concluded that any slight improvement gained by filling tires with pure nitrogen was not a replacement for regularly checking for proper inflation, regardless of what's in your tires. Apalagi jika kejadian ini jauh dari bengkel. Hal pertama yang mungkin kita rasakan adalah panik menghadapi situasi ini. Untuk menghadapi situasi seperti ini ada beberapa tips yang mudah dilakukan. </p> <p><b>Pertama</b>, tetaplah tenang dan jangan panik, karena ketenangan akan membawa kita pada situasi berfikir rasional dalam mencari solusi. Jangan saling menyalahkan diantara crew yang ada pada kendaraan tersebut. Jadikanlah problem ini sebagai problem bersama, sehingga setiap orang berusaha untuk menyumbangkan pemikirannya dalam mencari solusi.</p> <p><b>Kedua</b>, pastikan bahwa kendaraan berhenti di tempat yang aman, posisi di bahu jalan dan tidak menganggu arus lalu lintas. Nyalakan lampu tanda darurat (hazard) dan pasangkan segitiga pengaman kira-kira 2 meter tepat di belakang posisi kendaraan. Hal ini bertujuan memberi isyarat pada pengguna jalan yang lain bahwa kendaraan kita sedang mengalami masalah darurat.</p> <p><b>Ketiga</b>, kenali penyebab mogok dengan melihat panel indikator. Masing-masing masalah mempunyai solusi berbeda. Ada beberapa indikasi yang dapat dikenali secara umum dan solusi yang mungkin dapat dilakukan antara lain:<br /></p><br /><ol><li><a href="javascript:ajax_getData('emergency/mogok_cause01.asp','ShowContent01')">Bahan Bakar</a><span id="ShowContent01"><ul><li> <b>Bahan bakar habis</b><br /> Metode paling sederhana untuk mengetahui volume bahan bakar minyak adalah dengan melihat indikator pengukur bahan bakar. Pastikan volume bahan bakar dalam kondisi cukup. Pada kendaraan tertentu, jika volume bahan bakar sudah melewati batas penggunaan biasanya ada lampu indikator yang menyala (lampu yang bergambar pompa bensin).<br /> Bila pada indikator bahan bakar sudah menunjukkan posisi normal (misalnya menunjukan posisi ½ atau beberapa strip) perlu dipastikan apakah alat penunjuk ini bekerja dengan normal. Dengan cara mengketok-ketok dengan benda keras secara perlahan pada bagian bawah tangki bahan bakar. Dengarkan bunyi pukulan tersebut apakah nyaring atau terasa berat. Jika berbunyi nyaring tandanya volume bahan bakar dalam tangki bahan bakar dalam kondisi kosong. Bila bunyi terasa berat ada kemungkinan volume bahan bakar masih cukup untuk menghidupkan mesin.<br /> Apabila volume bahan bakar kurang, sebagai solusi sudah pasti kita harus mencari penjual bahan bakar atau pompa bensin terdekat. Isilah bahan bakar sampai tangki bahan bakar secukupnya. </li></ul> <ul><li> <b>Tekanan bahan bakar tidak ada</b><br /> Tekanan bahan bakar dapat diketahui dengan melihat pergerakan kepala baut yang terdapat pada pulsation dumper. Coba putar kunci kontak ke posis “START”, bila baut bergerak ke arah luar dapat dipastikan ada tekanan bahan bakar.</li></ul> <ul><li> <b>Saringan bahan bakar mampet</b><br /> Bila saringan bahan bakar mampet, tekanan yang akan dikirim ke mesin akan berkurang. Jika saringan mampet, gejala awalnya adalah laju kendaraan akan tersendat-sendat. Bila dibiarkan dapat menyebabkan mesin mati.</li></ul> <ul><li> <b>Pompa bahan bakar mati</b><br /> Pompa bahan bakar mati akan menyebabkan bahan bakar tidak dialirkan ke mesin sehingga akan mati. Untuk memastikan pompa bahan bakar bekerja dengan baik atau tidak, buka tutup tangki dan dalam waktu bersamaan “START” mesin. Dengarkan suara/getaran yang ada dalam tangki. Umur pompa bensin dapat diperpanjang dengan cara membiasakan tangki bahan bakar selalu dalam kondisi penuh. Hal ini akan mencegah timbulnya korosi pada tangki.</li></ul> <ul><li><b>Selang bahan bakar bocor/pecah</b><br /> Selang bahan bakar bocor/pecah akan mengakibatkan bahan bakar yang di kirim ke mesin akan berkurang baik tekanan maupun jumlahnya. </li></ul> </span></li><li><a href="javascript:ajax_getData('emergency/mogok_cause02.asp','ShowContent02')">Mesin Over Heating</a><span id="ShowContent02"><ul><li> Masalah selanjutnya yang menyebabkan mesin tiba-tiba mati adalah terjadinya kenaikan temperatur mesin yang berlebihan. Hal ini dengan mudah dapat dilihat dari posisi jarum indikator temperatur mesin pada intrumen panel. Biasanya kenaikan jarum penunjuk temperatur pada posisi ½ atau kurang. Jika jarum penunjuk melebihi posisi ½ bisa dipastikan mesin mengalami over heating (kelebihan panas). </li></ul> </span></li><li><a href="javascript:ajax_getData('emergency/mogok_cause03.asp','ShowContent03');">Tidak ada pengapian</a><span id="ShowContent03"><ul><li> Syarat dari mesin bensin bisa berputar (running) pada prinsipnya ada tiga faktor, yaitu adanya tekanan kompresi yang kuat, bahan bakar cukup dan pengapian cukup besar dan tepat. Apabila tekanan kompresi dan bahan bakar normal, kemungkinan penyebab lainnya adalah sistem pengapian. Ada beberapa kemungkinan yang menyebabkan sistem pengapian tidak bekerja normal. Secara garis besar pada sistem pengapian dibagi dalam dua bagian yaitu:<br /> Rangkaian yang terkait dengan sirkuit primer yaitu sirkuit yang mengalirkan tegangan 12V baterai. Sirkuit ini terdiri dari baterai-sekring-kunci-ignition coil (primary coil). Untuk mencari penyebab kerusakan para sirkuit primer dengan cara menelusuri tegangan 12V baterai stand by di terminal positif ignition coil. Selama tegangan di terminal positif ignition coil sudah ada (saat kunci kontak posisi ON), dapat dipastikan sirkuit primer dalam kondisi normal.<br /> Sirkuit lainnya adalah sirkuit sekunder atau sirkuit pembangkitan arus bertegangan tinggi 20KV – 30KV. Sirkuit ini terdiri dari komponen: ignition coil, Platina / condensor (tipe Konvensional), Igniter & pick up coil (tipe transistor/CDI), tutup distributor, rotor, kabel tegangan tinggi busi dan busi. Untuk menelusuri kelainan pada sirkuit ini terlebih dahulu harus memastikan sirkuit primer bekerja dengan normal. Adapun cara menelusurinya adalah dengan melakukan tes bunga api pada busi. Buka salah satu busi pada mesin. Kemudian sambungkan dengan kabel tegangan tinggi ignition coil. Dalam kondisi busi menempel dengan bodi mesin, start mesin. Jika terjadi percikan bunga api pada busi, artinya sirkuit primer dan sekunder bekerja normal. <p>Pada beberapa kasus kelainan pada sistem pengapian berasal dari tutup delco (distributor) basah karena uap air atau embun. Kejadian ini biasanya terjadi jika kendaraan melaju dalam kondisi hujan yang mengakibatkan tutup distributor berembun, atau terkena percikan air hujan.</p> <p>Cara mengatasinya cukup sederhana. Buka tutup distributor, kemudian keringkan dengan menggunakan tissue atau lap kering. Jika kendaraan masih menggunakan platina, bersihkan permukaan platina tersebut menggunakan amplas atau lap kering. Lalu bersihkan lagi dengan kertas bersih.</p> </li></ul> </span></li></ol><br /><p align="justify">Steer atau kemudi yang nyaman semestinya memang tidak bergetar ketika kita kendarai. Karena itu, segera periksa jika ternyata steer justru terasa tak nyaman, misalnya bergetar ketika pedal rem kita injak. Kasus seperti ini beberapa kali ditanyakan para anggota AstraWorld. Bahkan ada yang mengeluhkan getaran ini meskipun telah melakukan balancing dan spooring.<br /><br />Balancing dan spooring memang dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan berkendara karena mampu meredam getaran yang dihasilkan akibat putaran roda. Tapi, pada kasus steer yang tetap terasa bergetar terutama saat nge-rem, kemungkinan besar faktor pemicunya ada pada sistem rem. Bukan tidak berfungsinya balancing. Masalah sistem rem diantaranya, piringan (disc) rem yang tidak rata. Yang paling sering adalah piringan rem ban depan (kanan-kiri).<br /><br />Bila piringan rem tidak rata atau bergelombang, ketika dilakukan pengereman maka akan bergetar. Getaran itulah yang diteruskan ke kemudi dan terasa di tangan kita. Karena itu, sebaiknya lakukan pemeriksaan ke bengkel-bengkel jaringan Astra International untuk memastikan dan mengecek kondisi piringan. Efeknya akan terasa lebih baik bila piringan rem yang sudah aus diganti dengan yang baru. <br /><br />Selain kondisi piringan rem, bearing (laher) roda depan yang mengalami keausan juga bisa menyebabkan getaran di steer. Tetapi, getaran ini tidak hanya muncul pada saat di rem saja. Getaran terasa pada saat kecepatan tinggi dan permukaan jalan yang tidak rata. Untuk mengatasi masalah seperti ini, solusinya adalah dengan mengganti komponen tersebut.<br /><br />Kami sarankan, tetap lakukan balancing dan spooring setiap 10.000 km. Untuk sistem rem sendiri, lakukan pemeriksaan setiap 10.000 km juga. Dan apabila terjadi penggantian kanvas rem, gunakanlah kanvas rem yang orisinil. Sementara laher, lakukan penggantian grease (gemuk) setiap 20.000 km.</p><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:180%;"><span style="font-weight: bold;" class="tahoma14biru">Tips Ekonomis Berkendara</span></span> <script language="JavaScript" src="http://astraworld.com/mod/ajax/js/common.js"></script><br /><br /> <ol><li>Lakukanlah perawatan kendaraan secara rutin untuk memeriksa dan menyetel kondisi mesin.</li><li> Hindari memanaskan mesin terlalu lama sebelum berkendara. Selama mesin bekerja maka bahan bakar tetap terkirim, sehingga banyak BBM yang terbuang sia-sia.</li><li> Pertahankan kecepatan kendaraan sedapat mungkin sekitar 70 ~ 80 km/jam.</li><li> Hindari kecepatan tinggi yang tidak perlu semakin tinggi kecepatan sebanding dengan tingginya putaran mesin sehingga bahan bakar minyak yang harus dikirimpun semakin besar.</li><li>Sesuaikan gigi percepatan dengan kecepatan kendaraan, gunakan gigi rendah untuk menjalankan kendaraan pertama kali.<br /> Contoh: Gigi 1 Kecepatan 0-15 km/jam<br /> Gigi 2 Kecepatan 15-35 km/jam<br /> Gigi 3 Kecepatan 35-50 km/jam<br /> Gigi 4 Kecepatan 50-70 km/jam<br /> Gigi 5 Kecepatan 70 ~ km/jam</li><li> Lakukan akselerasi/penekanan pedal gas secara perlahan (bertahap), jangan melakukan secara tiba-tiba karena dapat mengakibatkan terjadinya penambahan bahan bakar secara berlebihan.</li><li> Hindari muatan yang berlebihan. Untuk membawa beban yang besar dibutuhkan tenaga yang besar yang berarti bahan bakar yang seimbang.</li><li> Matikan mesin saat kendaraan berhenti dalam waktu lama (parkir).</li><li> Aktifkan penyejuk udara (AC) dengan temperatur yang tidak terlalu rendah. Hal ini akan membuat kerja kompresor tidak terlalu lama (atau matikan bila perlu).</li><li> Jangan meletakkan kaki kiri pada pedal kopling saat berkendara atau berkendara dengan setengah kopling. Ini akan mengakibatkan tenaga mesin tidak sepenuhnya tersalurkan untuk menggerakkan kendaraan.</li><li> Gunakan bahan bakar sesuai nilai oktan yang disarankan oleh produsen. Mereka berasal dari kawasan Selatan Jakarta. Lantas mereka sepakat untuk menamakan kelompok ini AICA (All Independent Kijang Association).<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Mobil boleh sama, tapi isi kepala siapa tahu? Aturan yang dulu disepakati lama-lama dinilai terlalu membebani anggota. Hal inilah ihwal perpecahan AICA. Persyaratan <em>njelimet</em> bikin klub tidak solid. Maklum saja, syarat terintegrasi dengan AICA cukup membuat pemilik Kijang <em>geleng-geleng</em> kepala. Contohnya, harus memiliki Kijang lansiran 1990 ke atas, diwajibkan memakai pelek berdiameter besar (di atas ring 16`), `Disamping arah tujuan klub dinilai sebagian anggota tidak jelas,` urai Amin.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Beberapa anggota akhirnya melepaskan diri dari AICA, dan berupaya membentuk klub yang dapat menampung aspirasi seluruh anggota dan semua varian Kijang. Setelah keluar dari AICA, ada lima anak muda merasa gelisah,<em> kok</em> populasi Kijang yang besar belum ada satu pun organisasi yang menyatukannya? Dengan tekad baja, akhirnya lambat laun teman-teman sealiran ikut bergabung. Dan mereka yang melepaskan diri inilah sebagai penggagas awal berdirinya IKC. Mereka yang keluar berupaya keras membangun IKC.<br /></div></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />Episode berikutnya, IKC resmi berdiri 19 Juli 1998 di Jakarta. Awal berdiri anggota baru 10 orang/mobil. Dari 10 orang, 5 diantaranya adalah sebagai pemrakarsa sekaligus motor penggerak berdirinya IKC. Kelima orang ini dulunya adalah mantan anggota AICA.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Saat itu jumlahnya mencapai 10, diputuskan nama awal klub adalah IKC. Nama IKC dipilih supaya organisasi ini lebih menasional. Artinya nama IKC dapat dipakai di seluruh daerah, agar anggotanya berasal dari seluruh daerah.<br /><br />Tujuan terbentuknya IKC, tambah Amin, mempererat tali persaudaraan sesama pemakai Kijang khususnya di Jakarta, selain mempertegas arah tujuan pendirian klub tentunya.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Dalam perkembangannya, IKC Jakarta mencatatkan diri sebagai komunitas Kijang yang paling banyak anggotanya, yakni mencapai 150 mobil/orang, belum termasuk para kru. Yang dimaksud kru, menurut Amin, adalah anggota yang pernah memiliki Kijang lalu menjualnya ke orang lain, dan mereka yang tidak memiliki tunggangan tapi turut pula bergabung.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Seiring perjalanan waktu, jumlah anggota IKC telah mengalami pemulihan, karena ada anggota yang keluar dan ada yang masuk. Kini, total anggota berjumlah kurang lebih 50 orang. Angka tersebut belum termasuk simpatisan atau kru.<br /><br />Dewasa ini IKC telah melebarkan sayap hingga ke Bali. Sayap pertama di buka di Bandung pada 13 April 2001. Jumlah IKC cabang Bandung sekitar 15 orang. Kimberly at that time, and Robert A. Braner, President of Automobili Lamborghini USA, to both distribute and build Lamborghini's in the Mexican United States and all the Latin American States including the Caribbean.<br /> We actually received documents from Sr Ing Jorge Antonio Fernandez Gracia, Automoviles Lamborghini Latinomérica S.A. that state this fact, paperwork signed by the then current International Sales and Marketing Director, Nigel R. Gordon Stewart at Automobili Lamborghini SpA Italy. These documents can also be seen on the official website for <a href="http://www.e-lamborghini.com/" target="_blank">Automoviles Lamborghini Latinomérica S.A.</a> by the way.<br /><br /> Lamborghini Latinoamerica S.A. was allowed to build a limited series of special race oriented models and even create an own concept with Lamborghini components, the latter would become the Lamborghini Coatl model, keeping in mind the hand finished feeling these special cars would have to offer, each and every Coatl would be finished according the tastes and requirements made by the fortunate buyer, note the Coatl was not a factory prototype but, according to the people who created it, it was built with permission from the factory.<br /> The special steering wheel used would be carved by a single craftsman and within exact measurements taken from the hand and fingers of the future owner, the pedals and seat would also be custom made to fit the actual owner. This seat would be made from a mould taken from the person who would be driving the Coatl, while his weight would also be taken into account when finishing the driver's seat.<br /><br />Another feature on these Coatl would be both the exterior and interior color, the paint for the bodywork would be mixed on special demand, making each Lamborghini Coatl an individual car, no two would be finished the same.<br />The one featured on this page actually received 14 coats of paint to create a very special look, depending on the angle of the light over the bodywork, the color would change from orange to red and a brown tint.<br />The leather used for the interior would also be dyed to an exact match with the customer's order, his actual initials would be engraved into the cylinder heads and the steering wheel, while custom carpeting with the owner's name could be installed too.<br /><br /> The bodywork was a very special design, mainly consisting of both Carbon Fiber and Epoxica from Aereo-Astonautico, the customer could even order a sequential gearbox, larger disc brakes or an optional Dual Turbo installation.<br /><br /> But let's take a look at the exterior design first, the side was dominated by two big air intakes, with vertical slats, probably feeding air to both the engine and the rear brakes. Up front you'd notice the sculptured, deep chin spoiler with twin air intakes to cool down the front brakes, while the entire front part was now a single unit with built in air extractors similar to the one seen on the Ferrari F50.<br /><br /> The very original headlights were covered units, while on the roof a single air intake was mounted to pull air into the engine compartment, a treatment also used on the Diablo SV and the limited edition Diablo GT. At the rear the design was rather dramatic, the entire rear bumper unit became a rather different looking mould, with twin exhaust pipes incorporated into this bumper at the right and left outer sections, while a single center bumper was also in place.<br /><br /> The taillights actually looked similar to what Lexus used, a design that became notorious on the tuning market a few years later, seen today on all kind of cars.
